GrowFit Classes Policies & FAQ

Parent/guardian Supervision

We politely ask that parents not in parent/child sit on the bleachers behind the glass during classes. Parents/guardians are also asked to stay at SportsHouse for all classes and for supervision in the bounce houses.

First Day

On your first day, if you are a SportsHouse member you will go with your child to the front desk to get a wristband. If you are not a SportsHouse member you will meet your teacher for your class to get started!

Saturday Classes

On Saturdays, classes will be labeled on the glass walls. If you have any trouble finding your class, please ask someone at the GrowFit table. On the second week, you will get your GrowFit jersey. You can wear this to class whenever you'd like. We'd love for you to wear your jersey on picture day which will be towards the end of the season!

Weekday Classes

For weekday classes, your coach will meet you by the front desk for the first two sessions. On the second week you will get your GrowFit jersey. You can wear this to class whenever you'd like. We'd love for you to wear your jersey on picture day which will be  towards the end of the season!

Structure of Classes

Ages 2-3

The Little Sports classes are 40 minutes in length. Children are given on average, two water breaks per class. Please give your child a water bottle to keep on the field. This is a parent/child class and we would love for parents/guardians to join us in participating in all of the activities and games. After the 40 minutes children are invited to play in the small bounce house with parent supervision for 10 minutes. If your child is a SportsHouse member and has a wristband, he or she can be in the bounce house longer than the 10 minutes with parent supervision.

Ages 3-5

Classes for our 3-5 year olds are 45 minutes in length. Children are given on average, two water breaks per class. Please give your child a water bottle to keep on the field. Children are then invited to play in the small bounce house with parent supervision for 10 minutes. If your child is a SportsHouse member and has a wristband, he or she can be in the bounce house longer than the 10 minutes with parent supervision.

Ages 5-7

Classes for our 5-7 year olds are 50 minutes in length. Children are given on average, two water breaks per class. Please give your child a water bottle to keep on the field.  Children are then invited to play in the large bounce house with parent supervision for 10 minutes. If your child is a SportsHouse member and has a wristband, he or she can be in the bounce house longer than the 10 minutes with parent supervision.

SportsHouse & Bounce House

Children in GrowFit classes are allowed in the bounce houses with parent supervision for 10 minutes after class ends. Children who are SportsHouse members and are wearing a wristband can have access to the bounce houses for longer. Siblings and guests not enrolled in GrowFit must check-in with the front desk and sign a waiver before using the bounce house. SportsHouse kindly requests that no outside food or drinks be brought into SportsHouse.

Make-up sessions

We offer unlimited make-up sessions. If you would like to do a make-up session, please use link: www.growfitpe.com/makeup-classes. You may sign up for any age-appropriate class, even if it is a different sport. Once you have submitted, you are fine to show up to the chosen make-up class. We will reach out if there is a concern.

FAQ

What should my child wear?

Children should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes or indoor cleats. If your child is taking a soccer class, cleats and shinguards are recommended.

Can I drop my child off?

No, parent/guardian supervision is required for all classes.

Can I register for multiple classes a week?

Yes, though you will need to register and pay for the additional class sessions separately.

Even if my child is not old enough, can she/he be put in the same class with a sibling?

Our classes are developed to be age and skill appropriate, so normally siblings of different ages are not in the same class. Note that our class schedule normally offers classes for different ages at the same time, which often accommodates those families who want to simultaneously schedule their children's classes.

What if my child is 3 or 5 years old? How do I know what class is appropriate for her/him?

If your child is 3.5 or 5.5 years old or you feel that she or he is developmentally ready for the 3-5 year old or 5-7 to year old classes, then it will be best to enroll her/him in the 3-5 year old or 5-7 year old class. If your child recently turned 3 or 5, it is likely that being in the 2-3 year old or 3-5 year old class will be best. If you have further questions about this please contact classes@growfitpe.com.

What does it mean to have a SportsHouse membership?

SportsHouse members are welcome to use the facilities for free on a space available basis. Member privileges include access to the bounce house, discounts on parties and drop-in sports. Drop-in times are subject to change. Please see the front desk for questions about membership.

Can my child with special needs participate?

Children with special needs are welcomed in our program and we will provide the accommodations that we are capable of providing. If you have further questions about this please contact classes@growfitpe.com.
