GrowFit Sports is an introductory sports program for children 2 to 7 years old. Our active and innovative curriculum is not only designed to teach basic sports skills, but assist in setting the building blocks for an active lifestyle.

All of our activities and games were created to be fun and imaginative. When children don't have fun engaging in physical activity, they aren't likely to choose to be active.

Little Sports Parent/Child

Summer Session: Tuesday, July 11th- Saturday, August 26th

2-3 YEARS OLD

Introduction to sports and sensory activities to help support your little one's development. Consists of organized games and sensory activities to help support the development of listening skills, teamwork, coordination, cognitive development and physical abilities. 

Weeks 1-2: Locomotor movement focus
Weeks 3-4: Kicking focus
Weeks 5-6: Throwing and catching focus
Weeks 7: Spatial awareness focus


Soccer

Summer Session: Tuesday, July 11th- Saturday, August 26th

3-5 YEARS OLD
 
Develops dribbling and shooting skills. Children will begin developing fundamental sports skills through creative games and will be introduced to the early stages of scrimmaging as the season progresses.
 
Weeks 1-2: Dribbling (no hands) and kicking
Weeks 3: Keeping the ball close while dribbling and kicking a ball for distance
Weeks 4-5: Dribbling with the inside of the foot and kicking with your laces
Weeks 6-7: Dribbling in traffic and shooting off-the-dribble

5-7 YEARS OLD

Develops your child's dribbling, shooting and defensive skills. Children continue to develop individual skills and participate in non-competitive scrimmages every week to further support development of sports skills.  
 
Weeks 1-2: Dribbling and passing
Weeks 3: Dribbling and shooting
Weeks 4: Dribbling and defense
Weeks 5: Advanced dribbling
Weeks 6-7: Playing the game of soccer


Multi-Sport

Summer Session: Tuesday, July 11th- Saturday, August 26th

Introduction to soccer, football, volleyball and baseball. Children will begin developing fundamental sports skills through creative games and will be introduced to the early stages of scrimmaging as the season progresses.

5-7 YEARS OLD

Inclusive Sports

Summer Session: Tuesday, July 11th- Saturday, August 26th

5-10 YEARS OLD

We are excited to be offering pilot classes for students with exceptional needs. Our inclusive sports classes are for children whose needs would not be met in a typical sports class. Children have the opportunity to learn the basics of each sport through a hands-on, multi-sensory approach while interacting with their peers. 

Weeks 1-3: Games: Locomotor movement & spatial awareness focus
Weeks 4-5: Soccer: Kicking & coordination focus
Weeks 6-7: Volleyball: Throwing and catching focus


DAYS 

We have classes Tuesday through Saturday at SportsHouse, the peninsula's only state of the art indoor sports complex. 

STAFF

Our teaching staff consists of highly qualified professionals (most are PE teachers) who are knowledgeable in creating supportive environments where children feel emotionally safe and are willing to try things outside their comfort zone. All teachers complete our comprehensive training program, are regularly evaluated and participate in ongoing training.
